Carpooling Etiquette

To ensure a happy journey for everyone we outlined some useful tips:

Money
Make sure to settle on the payment in advance. We have provided a recommended rate in the Travel Costs section. Remember the rate is based on the cost only and profit will invalidate your insurance.

Be On Time
We recommend that the driver or passenger should wait no more than 5 minutes.

No Stopping or Route Change
Establish a route and drop off point and stick to it. It is recommended that stops for shops etc is kept to a minimum if at all.

Back Up Plan
Its useful to have each other's mobile numbers if agreed to be given out. Have a back up plan like train or bus times.

The Little Things
Smoking as a rule is out. Agree before the journey if you want to smoke. Be accommodating with regard to radio use.
